Yes, it's true. They made it all the way to the big game and lost. Not too much more to say about that. It was a close game, and I don't think I'm exaggerating to say a few bad calls made the difference.
In the end, though, the refs are just part of the game. There's no point in making excuses. I will be the first to give the Steelers credit. They played the better game, and they deserved to win.
Oh well... next year! |

So, much to my surprise, the Seahawks are the best team in the NFC. I'm more excited about following this team than any time since I really started caring about football. (This was some time in the late 80's, but it's hard to be sure.) I'm not a rabid sports fan, but I always have been a Seahawks fan to one degree or another. Who knows, maybe this is their year to finally make it to the Super Bowl? The closest they've ever been was the AFC Championship Game in 1979, so it's definitely overdue.
Anyway, check on the game if you can. Here's info from ESPN's website.

Oh the joys of eBay. We got 2 tickets to watch the Cardinals play the Seahawks this Sunday, at 1/2 the face value of the tickets. Even better, we can walk to the stadium from our house. (I love Tempe.) So, watch the game if you can in your area - we shouldn't be too hard to spot given the (lack of) numbers of people who go to Cardinals games.
