So, I’ve been working for about 3 years doing web development, mainly in a language called PHP. The company which backs PHP, Zend, has been promoting their new certification exam for PHP developers, and I decided to give it a shot.
I’m happy to say I passed the exam today. I’m now an official Zend Certified Engineer. (But, you all can still just call me Alex.) I wasn’t super worried about it, but it’s still a relief and I’m very happy to have this extra little tidbit to add to my resume.
If you’re wondering what that means, it’s basically that I can tell you all sorts of esoteric things about how the PHP language handles data and stuff. And, I can probably make you a kick-ass web application if you can pony up for my newly increased consulting fees. :)
